Customers could already enter their inf ormation through Jack's online estimate tool.
But once the form was submitted, Jack still had to move the information into Homeworks by hand. He needed to create the account, add the property, and start the estimate.
It was repeated work at an important point in the sales process.
What he built
Jack connected his estimate tool to the Homeworks API.
A scheduled process checks for new requests every minute. When it finds one, it creates the account, property, and estimate in Homeworks.
The request includes five main details:
Customer name
Contact information
Address
Requested service
Property size
Jack still reviews the property and sets the final price.
A better customer experience
Once th e quote is created, H omeworks can send the customer a confirmation text.
That message comes from the same number used for the rest of the customer's communication. The customer does not receive messages from several disconnected systems.
Jack and his staff can also use the short estimate form while talking with a customer on the phone.
